Our Centennial is an opportunity to honor those who came before us, those who shape us and support us today, and those who in the future will continue Rotary’s local, national, and international impact.
Working with the City of Annapolis we will erect and dedicate a Centennial Flag Pole at Taylor Avenue and West Street, at the site of our 75th anniversary Time Capsule. The special area surrounding the flagpole will be paved with customized bricks engraved with the names of Rotarians and their families, to permanently honor the Club and our members.
Bricks may also be purchased and dedicated (with specified engraving) by any of our neighboring Rotary Clubs and their members, as well as by our many businesses and individuals that have supported our Rotary mission and efforts to serve the community.
You are part of this legacy, and when you buy a brick for yourself and family, or in honor or memory of a Rotarian or family member and/or friend, your name and gesture will literally be imbedded in the history of our Club and the City of Annapolis. The Brick sale proceeds will go towards our Centennial Year events, to include the Flag Pole Memorial (and bricks) and Centennial Celebration, with any excess funds going to a donation to the Annapolis Rotary Foundation.
You may purchase as many bricks as you would like - and we are offering the following options (actual logo placement, top or side, will be determined by the engravers).:
1) 4" x 8" brick ($200) with 3 lines of dedication (18 characters max each line) or with our Rotary logo with 2 lines of dedication.
2) 8" x 8" brick ($400) with 6 lines of dedication (18 characters max each line) or with our Rotary logo also with 6 lines of dedication.
Note: the cost of these bricks is NOT tax deductible. If you'd like to make a direct cash contribution to the Brick Fundraiser (which can be tax-deductible), please contact Bill Regan (firstname.lastname@example.org) or Jeff Neufeld (email@example.com).
