2/23/2012 - Speaker for the February 23rd Club Meeting

Feb 23. – Lee Tawney, director of the National Sailing Center & Hall of Fame, will speak about current events at the center.

3/1/2012 - Speaker for the March 1st Club Meeting

March 1 – Angie Barnett, President and CEO of the Greater Maryland Better Business Bureau, will share with us springtime tips to avoid consumer and charity fraud.

3/3/2012 - Black Tie and Diamonds

Rotary Club of Annapolis will host its premiere gala, “Black Tie and Diamonds,” from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday, March 3, 2012, at the Westin Annapolis Hotel on Westgate Circle in Annapolis. The event will include a cocktail hour, silent and live auctions, a raffle, and dinner and dancing to the music of NightLife, a high energy band with a reputation for keeping dancers on the dance floor. All proceeds from the event will benefit the Anne Arundel County Public Library Foundation.

Tickets are $150 per person or $1,500 for a table of 10. Full tables are being sold now, and the best seating will go to the tables that are sold first. To purchase a full table contact Rebecca Tingle at 410-267-7877 (Ext. 6), or 1-585-943-2325, or at Rebecca@aacasa.org.

Individual tickets for this premiere event will go on sale at $150 each after January 2, 2012,

3/8/2012 - Speaker for the March 8th Club Meeting

March 8 – Naval Academy Midshipman 2nd Class Robert Crutcher will share thoughts on his award-winning ethics essay, “ The Legacy of Westphalia: Just War Theory in the 21st Century.”

3/15/2012 - Speaker for the March 15th Club Meeting

March 15 – Classification talks will be given by two club members, who will discuss their careers and their involvement in Rotary International.

3/22/2012 - Speaker for the March 22nd Club Meeting

March 22 – Members of the Annapolis Rotaract club will take over the meeting, reporting on the accomplishments of the club over the last year.

Scholarship Applications
Annapolis, MD (Feb. 7, 2012) – The Rotary Club of Annapolis is accepting scholarship applications from graduating seniors attending Annapolis high schools, including home-schooled students. Up to four cash scholarship awards of $1,000 each are available to area students who plan to attend an accredited college or university and who have demonstrated a commitment to community service. Relatives of Rotary members are ineligible for these awards. The
