Black Tie & Diamonds - 2013 auction

Chartered on February 11, 1921, the Annapolis Rotary Club is the largest and most active service club in Maryland's state capital and one of the most active in Rotary International District 7620. The chapter's membership of 160+ engages in a number of fundraising activities. Weekly meetings are convivial lunchtime gatherings, usually featuring an interesting speaker or presentation, held every Thursday at noon at the Annapolis Yacht Club. Visiting Rotarians and guests of Rotarians are very welcome. This year, the Annapolis Rotary's Black Tie & Diamonds event benefits Historic Annapolis. Proceeds from this year's auction will support the mission of Historic Annapolis as it continues to focus on historic preservation and education. Early on, Historic Annapolis was focused on saving our threatened colonial landmarks, but over the years the organization evolved, creating programs to engage residents, visitors and children through education. In this way, Historic Annapolis aspires to shape good citizens with a deeper understanding of Annapolis’ rich heritage and encourage excellent stewardship and pride in the city. Proceeds from Annapolis Rotary's fundraising efforts go to many worthy organizations in the area, with the aim of making life in Annapolis better for everyone. But Annapolis Rotary's activities don't end at fundraising and grant giving; every year Rotarians pitch in on numerous civic activities.
