Rotary Club of Annapolis Hosts 2nd Annual “Fore the Greater Good” Golf Outing

The Rotary Club of Annapolis is excited to host the 2nd Annual “Fore the Greater Good” Golf Outing on Monday, October 19, 2026 at The Golf Club at South River.  This event will benefit the Chesapeake K9 Fund and is open to the public.

“We’re excited to bring our community together for a fun day of golf while supporting the Chesapeake K9 Fund,” stated Jim Sherrick, President of Rotary Club of Annapolis.  “This event gives us a chance to enjoy some fellowship, welcome golfers from throughout the area, and raise money for an organization doing important work to support our law enforcement K9 teams. We hope people will come out, have a great time, and help us make a difference in our community.”

The Chesapeake K9 Fund supports law enforcement K9 units and their efforts to protect our community.  The organization provides much needed resources to offset budget deficiencies to support training needs and daily operations.

The Golf Club at South River is located at 3451 Solomon’s Island Road in Edgewater.  Registration is from 8:30 – 9:30 a.m., followed by a putting contest.  The Scramble Shotgun Start is at 10 a.m.

Registration costs are $800 per four-some, $450 per two-some, and $225 for a single.  This includes breakfast, on-course beverage cart with unlimited domestic beer and non-alcoholic beverages, mid-round Grill Station, and post-round appetizers, awards, and cash bar.  Registration also includes a $10 per person credit at the Golf Shop.
