How to Join

What it Means to be a Rotarian

The Rotary Club of Annapolis actively seeks members who want to be involved in the life of the Annapolis community. Membership in Rotary is by invitation. 

Prospective members must:

Be adults of good character and good business and professional reputation;
Hold or be retired from a professional, proprietary, executive, or managerial position;
Live or work within the Annapolis area.


Our goal is a membership that reflects and represents the community’s business, vocational, and professional interests and also forms a pool of resources and expertise to successfully implement service projects. For that reason, Rotary uses a classification system. A member's classification describes either the principal business or the professional service of the organization that the Rotarian works for, or the Rotarian’s own activity within the organization.

How to Apply for Membership

1) Always feel free to contact our Membership Chair if you have questions prior to applying for membership:  Contact Membership Chair

2) Prospective members must be invited by a member/sponsor to attend at least two club meetings. Many of our prospective members already know a Rotarian who has offered to be their sponsor. After two meetings, the sponsor may then submit the name of the candidate to the club’s board of directors along with submission of the below documentation. 

(If you are interested in possible membership, but do not yet have a sponsor, we will be happy to invite you as a guest to one of our meetings to meet some Rotarians and find a sponsor - members are very happy to meet potential candidates and serve as a sponsor ). Just click here to contact membership and arrange to attend a meeting.

3) Download this Membership Application and fill it out.  You may email it directly to the Email Membership Chair.

4) Download this Sponsorship Form (or ask your sponsor to download directly). The Sponsor is responsible for sending this completed form directly to our Membership Chair.

5) Pay your application fee below.
